Papua New Guinea’s fight to mitigating the impact of climate change has reached an important milestone with the launching of PNG’s Sustainable Development Goal 13 Roadmap 2020-2030.

This Roadmap consists of a set of 30 actions ranging from topics in climate governance, energy, forestry, infrastructure, agriculture, minerals, health, biodiversity, and tourism. The plan will ensure that the government and communities better respond to climate change in a strong, responsible, and resilient way.

It was a successful event that was officiated by the Prime Minister Hon. James Marape and proudly supported by Hon. Wera Mori, Minister for Environment, Conservation and Climate Change, Mr. Dirk Wagener, UNDP Resident Representative in Papua New Guinea and Mr Ruel Yamuna, Climate Change and Development Authority Managing Director.
