Call for Applications; Business, Human Rights, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in PNG

Port Moresby, 21 Ocotber 2019 - Applications are open for the training on Business, Human Rights and the Sustainable Development Programme. The training will be held in Port Moresby on the 11 – 15 November 2019.

The programme is supported by the Diplomacy Training Program in partnership with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), United Nations Development Program, Pacific Islands Association of NGOs (PIANGO) and UNSW Institute for Global Development.

The programme will attract 25-30 participants drawn from civil society and relevant government regulatory agencies.

 This 5-day program will build the knowledge, skills and capacities to protect and promote human rights and sustainable development in Papua New Guinea. It will build knowledge of international human rights standards and mechanisms that can be applied and integrated into engagement and operational strategies of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), government and business. It will build knowledge and practical skills for dialogue between governments and business. Participants will learn from leading experts and practitioners, share knowledge with each other, and build practical skills and networks.
